Welcome to Pennsylvania WIC-Online!
What is WIC?
WIC is a federally funded program that provides healthy supplemental foods and
nutrition services for pregnant women, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and
children under age five in a supportive environment.
The goal of the WIC Program is to decrease the risk of poor birth outcomes and to improve
the health of the participants during critical stages of growth and development.
WIC will help participants find the answers to these questions and many other nutrition
related concerns:
- When can I start feeding my baby cereal and juice?
- How much weight should I gain during pregnancy?
- Will alcohol or smoking hurt my unborn baby?
Our Mission Statement:
The Pennsylvania WIC Program is committed to improving the health of eligible pregnant women,
new mothers, and children by providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support,
healthy foods, and referrals to health and social programs during the critical stages of
fetal and early childhood development.
